It’s finally done! The pattern for the Rainbow sampler blanket is now live and can be found here.
It’s not a pattern in the traditional sense of the way. I’d rather call it a challenge in improvising and learning how you cope with various stitches! At the start I never intended this to be a ‘real’ pattern. So naturally, my blanket, as a learn-as-you-go project, contains a couple of improv moments. I learned so much from this project (recap).
I encourage you to do the same, to just start the blanket and see how it works out. If that means that you end with 239 HDC’s instead of 240, just crochet one more at the end, try to find where you went wrong and try not to make the same mistake again next time. Nobody will notice the added HDC at the end, especially because of the edging in the same colour that allows you to blur and blend your ‘accidents’! If you don’t like a particular row, just leave it out, or substitute it with one you do like!
